It's very likely your school has a club devoted to building a robot to enter into competitions, or be part of a Maker Faire. Yes, robots are for real, even though they are little more than fancy remote control cars with some extra servos.Now fast forward to 2019 Japan, and that's the setting for Robotics; Notes, except with a slight plot twist. サイコパス Anime Review by Brian Cirulnick  Psycho Pass is dark, dark, dark. And I mean that in a good way. It's an utterly brutal dystopian view of the future, and definitely a world I would not want to live in. And by dystopian, it's a not a post-apocalyptic, Mad-Max style world. Oh no, that would be a thousand times more preferable to what's going on here.No, no, this world is a cyberpunk-ish, horrific police-state where people live in dull, grey boxes that are decorated by holograms, their clothing is even decorated by holograms, their life is pre-programmed, and jobs assigned by how well they do on a test while in school, and worst of all, their every thought is pretty much monitored by computers. オズマ Anime Review by Brian Cirulnick  When Yamato 2199's pre-production designs started hitting Japanese anime magazines about 2 years ago, anime.com's publisher immediately complained about the character designs, claiming they were too girlish-looking and not in the traditional Matsumoto style.Although I found the character designs to be fine, and certainly by the time Yamato 2199 started airing, we'd accepted it and moved on and simply enjoyed the show, although I know some fans were secretly hoping it would be done ala Matsumoto. 神様はじめました Anime Review by Brian Cirulnick  Kamisama Kiss might seem a little "familiar" to you if you've seen Inuyasha. But while Inuyasha was in-your-face, Kamisama Kiss is a bit more subtle, although it goes for the comedy element in that same style as all modern anime.Nanami is a 17-yr old High School girl with a few problems presented in the first 5 minutes, and by problems, I mean she's homeless. Her father amassed a lot of gambling debts, he's run off and the house was seized, she was kicked out, and soon finds herself sitting on a park bench contemplating the fact that she's going to have to spend the night there.
