Manga Review

My imagination is my worst enemy. I remember watching an old episode of The Twilight Zone where William Shatner is on a plane and he sees this monster out on the plane's wing outside his window. The scene I remember the most vividly is when he turns around to look out the window again, the monster has his face pressed up against the window staring menacingly back at him. The only thing that separated him from that thing was that tiny thin window.

Dark MetroI refused to look out my window for weeks, thinking that that monster will be looking back at me with his face pressed up against the glass because William Shatner was now on the Enterprise and not on that plane for him to look at. I don't remember what the episode was about and I definitely don't remember any dialogue, but that monster (he doesn't even look scary anymore by today's standard) is stuck in my memory and I will never ever sit next to a window that can see a plane's wing.

You may be thinking, "What does this have to do with Dark Metro?" Thanks to Dark Metro, I will never ever venture near subway stations once it gets close to closing time. Even if the subway station is not closed, if there is no one on the platform with me, I am getting the hell out of there. I don't want to be accidentally dragged down into the Underworld just because there is a pissed off soul that wants a bit of company on the way down.

Dark MetroI definitely don't want to be scared out of my mind by souls that don't remember that they are dead already. I enjoy food but the idea of being food for demons do not sound very fun. Being a poor little mouse being batted around by demon cats is not appealing either. Waiting for them to finish me off as they bounce me around, nicking me with their claws here and there, slowly bleeding to death is a total killjoy.

If, by chance, I do get caught in the subway station with these demons though, the good thing is I might still have a chance of coming out of it alive, maybe not sane, maybe not without scratches, but at least alive. Keep your cell phones close at hand and readily accessible because Seiya might be texting you the message that you need to find a way out.

Dark MetroEven if he doesn't text you, he might call you. Seiya may be your guide out of the subway station but be careful; he can also be your guide down to the Underworld. He has been given the power to choose who should live or not. He has been known to allow demons to have their way with people who are not repentant in their evil ways. Don't let his cool demeanor fool you; he's also been known to let pissed off souls lure their killers down into the Underworld.

If you are not afraid of blood, gore, or your own overactive imagination, give Dark Metro a try. Give these tales of urban myth a look see. Meanwhile, I'll be hailing a cab to go home instead of chancing it at my subway stations anytime after midnight.
