Hellsing: Ultimate Series
Anime DVD Review
For over a century, the Hellsing Organization has been secretly protecting the British Empire from the undead "freaks". When Sir Integra Hellsing succeeded as the head of the organization, she also inherited the ultimate weapon against the undead enemies, the rouge vampire Arucard. Although his signature weapon is the enormous "anti-freak" gun called Jackal, he is a true undead with mysterious and frightening powers, which includes the ability to transform himself into bats and other creatures of the night.
While on a mission ordered by Integra, he is forced to shoot Seras Victoria, a policewoman held hostage by an enemy vampire. "Do you want to live?" he asks Seras, whose very answer changes the course of her existence. Now reborn as Arucard's servant, Seras is torn between her conflicting humanity and her vampire urges.
Based on the manga by Kouta Hirano, this wildly popular title among action lovers, Hellsing tells the story of a secret war brewing in the night, where the worst enemy of the forces of darkness is one of its own. The rouge vampire Arucard is the ultimate weapon against the undead — and in this unholy war, he is also humanity's last hope.
The continuing blood-soaked adventures of Arucard and his partner, police-woman-turned-vampire Seras Victoria, this hardcore action series returns to DVD. Warning: Most definitely NOT for kids. There's rivers of blood and oceans of gruesome action. But that's why we love it!

Hellsing - Complete Collection
Anime DVD Review
Hellsing is one of the very best in the horror genre, and another absolute gem from Gonzo. One of the reasons for the zeal of the fanbase is that the violence is absolutely off the chart, characters are sliced and diced throughout, and the screen runs red with blood. The English dubbing, featuring British-accented voice actors is far superior to the average anime dub (as this is supposed to take place in the U.K.).
Loaded with exotic weapons, gorgeous gothic backdrops, heaps of attitude, slick soundtrack, and featuring the ultimate "cool" lead character, Hellsing is stylish, violent, and always a turn-on, one any vampire or goth fan could enjoy. You'll literally be giggling with excitement and cheering over the death and destruction.
