Disgaea
Anime DVD Review
The death of the King has left the Netherworld in chaos, with everyone vying for control of the coveted crown. Various demons are now building their own little empires in an effort to try and take control. But despite the rightful claim of the late King's own son, maintaining the throne will not be such an easy task in Disgaea: Volume One — The Netherworld Prince.
Along to help him is his vassal; Etna with her Prinny squad, and Flonne, an angel-in-training originally sent to assassinate the king only to find that he has already died. Join our three intrepid, and somewhat eccentric, heroes as they initiate their plan to reclaim the prince's rightful place as ruler of the Netherworld, and then conquer the Heaven and Earth and well!
Based on the hugely popular PlayStation2 game — which debuted in August 2006 — Disgaea features a colorful assortment of crazy characters from greedy, power-hungry demons to the Prince's own party of oddballs, misfits and well-meaning miscreants.
A romp through heaven, hell and everywhere in between, Disgaea features animation from OLM, the powerhouse studio that brought Pokemon to life. Presented in anamorphic widescreen with English and Japanese audio streams, the Disgaea: Volume One — The Netherworld Prince DVD also includes a textless version of the opening animation and a game trailer for Disgaea 2.
